GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO
ALL ABOUT SCUBA

All About Scuba is located at 925 Texas Street in downtown Fairfield and is very proud to be serving the diving community of Solano, Napa and Contra Costa counties.

All About Scuba offers all levels of scuba instruction, and we are proud to compare our training courses for content and value with any other scuba shop.  We have evening and weekend classes, and for people who have difficult schedules, we can custom fit a class to meet your needs.  Our classes are designed to teach the beginning diver as well as the mature diver how to dive safely and keep them diving.

At All About Scuba, once a diver is certified to dive we keep them diving through the Rock N’ Reef dive club which sponsors local diving trip each month.  If you already dive you should stop on by and get all the details about the club and why you should become a member too.

All About Scuba carries an ever growing complete line of diving equipment ranging from basic gear to advanced technical diving with pricing sure to please all divers.

So if you are looking for scuba instruction, sales and service of your scuba equipment, a place to fill your Air or Nitrox cylinder or just a way to meet some new diving friends, All About Scuba just might be where you can start your dive adventure.

TIP OF THE DAY

Use a Wide-Angle Lens for the Best Underwater Pictutres

The best underwater photos are the detailed shots of fish, mammals, vegetation or other divers. Whether you are a new or experienced diver, make sure you have training and education for diving in exotic environments. A wide-angle lens essentially brings the camera eye closer to the subject, closing the distance between you and a school of fish. The standard wide angle is a 20 mm lens. Here are some advantages to using a wide-angle lens underwater:

\r\n\r\n
    \r\n
  • \r\nA wide-angle lens lets you back off to capture the entire subject in your frame.
  • \r\n
  • \r\nYou are more likely to get the photo you want. Fish swim by quickly and it may be hard to get close for the best shot.
  • \r\n
  • \r\nA wide-angle lens provides a crisp photo, something you won't get shooting from a distance with a regular lens. Underwater photos tend to look soft from a distance with a standard lens, because of silt and particles in seawater.
