Wrapping up the Year!!! |
I Hope everyone’s Holiday was as cool as mine!! And yes, it has been a loud couple of days in my house. But I still think giving Ty and Ash the Drums and Keyboard was a good idea!!
So, yesterday was a cool day shot to Point Lobos!! What a great way to wrap up the end of the year. The sun was shinning, the swells were flat and we had 60 foot viz. I made a dive with Bryan Jones and the Rays; Eric and Sally. We dropped into Blue Fish Cove on 70 feet and worked our way to the mid 40s. It was a 57 minute dive with the Safety Stops!! I recognized most of the rock formations, but we came across one that I had not seen before. It was a large bolder cluster that had a smooth arch to it. It looked like a surfer’s wave as polished out of the side of it. It was too cool. The base of it was buried into the sand and on top of it were the white cap would be was covered in small kelp growth and anemones. I came across one huge anemone that was the size of both my hands spread all the way out and touching thumbs together. It looked white on its the tentacles/ fingers and dark gray on the base/ neck and had some yellow accents on the pallet/ mouth. But when I put my light on it, WOW the color exploded!! It was a deep red on the neck and the fingers were a rose red and pastel pink. It was really cool with deep red veins on the pallet.
